Feel the Sand and Sea Breeze

 The Beaches in Bradenton, FL

Beaches for Every Mood

In early April I rallied the girls for a getaway to the Florida Gulf coast in Bradenton, Florida! We had one week, so decided beach-time was a definite priority, and in the Bradenton Area there are plenty of beaches to explore. If you're In the mood for some people-watching and all the amenities, head to Manatee Beach. We rented beach chairs, visited the souvenir shop, cheered on some volleyball matches, and devoured all-you-can-eat pancakes from AMI Cafe right on the beach (because calories don’t count on vacation)!
Another evening, we packed our picnic basket with fresh local fish from the market and paid a visit to Coquina Beach, where we found a barbecue pit and bathroom facilities to make for an enjoyable (and delicious) beach picnic followed by a successful stroll for seashells, finding a sand-dollar and a couple good-sized conch shells. Most days, you could find us at Bean Point Beach on Anna-Maria Island sunning in the powder-soft sand, gazing over the sparkling water, book in hand, and not a care in the world.

Beachside Pampering

What’s a girls-trip if you don’t pamper yourself doing things you could never do on a family-trip? We decided we better get our energy right before we headed home, knowing the real world awaited. So, we booked a SUP Yoga Experience with Salty Buddha to get some relaxation-flow going. Although, we had never done Stand-Up Paddleboard before the instructor was so patient and an amazing teacher, and we had the hang of it in no time. The class was in a calm, secluded spot, and the yoga flow was very inclusive from beginner to advanced. Not to mention, our instructor even took gram-worthy pictures for us!
We also saved our beachside, tiki-hut massage with Sea-renity Spa for our last day. Wow, what a relaxing experience to hear the waves lap against the sand, as the gentle breeze carries amazing scents of lavender and eucalyptus by, and stress and tension escape with each stroke of our amazing masseuse’s hands. With one last soak of the sun on the beach, we headed to the airport with just enough respite to make it to Spring!
