Spring is in the Air

As winter melts away and the flowers begin to bloom, the region comes alive with a variety of exciting events. One of the most popular events in the spring is the Wood County Fair, held in late April. This fun-filled event features a variety of attractions, including live music, carnival rides, and delicious fair food. “April showers bring May flowers.” Another must-see event in the spring is the annual Plant Sale at Simpson Garden Park. Held in May, this event offers a wide variety of plants and gardening supplies, educational programs, and expert advice on gardening and landscaping.

The Lazy Days of Summer

Bowling Green is the perfect place to be when the temperatures rise, and the sun shines bright. The city is home to a variety of fun events and activities throughout the summer, including the famous Black Swamp Arts Festival, held in September. This festival celebrates art, music, and culture and draws visitors across the region. Another fun event in the summer is the Bowling Green Farmers Market, which takes place every Wednesday and Saturday from May to October. The market offers fresh produce, baked goods, artisanal products, live music, and other entertainment. Everyone loves the experience of a Farmers' Market - particularly our dogs, who bask in the attention and hugs from strangers!

As the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, Bowling Green offers a variety of fun fall events for locals and visitors alike. Of course, we would be remiss if we did not mention one of the most popular events, the National Tractor Pulling Championships, held annually in mid-August. This event features the world's most powerful and impressive tractors, live music, food vendors, and other attractions.

Winter - Embrace the Chill and Experience the Magic

As the snow begins to fall, the city continues to offer a variety of fun and festive events throughout the winter months. The Holidays will not be the Holidays without the ever-popular Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting, held annually in early December. This event features a parade through downtown, a vibrant and charming district known for its locally-owned shops, restaurants, and historic architecture. The city takes the chill out of the winter and celebrates with Winterfest BG Chillabration in February. This family-friendly event features a variety of fun activities, including ice carving, live music, and the chili cook-off. Visitors can also enjoy ice skating, sledding, and other winter-themed activities.
