Beach Paradise

Saltwater Fishing Heaven

According to the International Game Fish Association, more saltwater world records have been established in the Florida Keysthan any other angling destination on the globe. Hiring a charter boat or flats' guide is advisable for the best fishing. Not only does the Keys captain offer local expertise and full equipment, he or she already possesses the necessary state fishing licenses required for all Florida visitors or residents. Bonefish, tarpon, and permit are favored inshore species, but jacks, Spanish mackerel and barracuda also abound, especially in the winter months.

Burly grouper and snapper haunt the reef areas. Acrobatic dolphin fish (mahi-mahi), billfish, tuna and wahoo cruise offshore. If the day's catch is not headed to the dinner table, taxidermists can provide exact reproduction mounts, for a three-dimensional memory!

Sandy Beaches and Deep Waters

The Florida Keys and Key West have extensive sandy beaches and deep waters close enough offshore to provide exceptional swimming and great snorkeling. There are many different activities to share in with your family here in Florida. Let your adventuresome side come alive and jump into the deep blue. The fun in the sun never ends in these parts.

For family fun at the beach and in the water be sure to visit Hawks Cay Resort, Spa and Marina. Hawks Cay can accommodate any way you like to play in the water. The adventurous can splash with the dolphins, learn to sail, jet skiing or waterskiing; while the more serene can partake in snorkeling, kayaking, boat rentals and romantic sunset cruises.
