If you're visiting in June, the annual AthFest Music and Arts Festival, named a top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society, is not to be missed. Booth Western Art Museum
Booth Western Art Museum, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, is a 120,000-square-foot museum located in Cartersville. Guests are invited to see America's story through contemporary Western artwork, presidential portraits and letters, Civil War art, more than 200 Native American artifacts, and much more. Open since August 2003, the Booth Museum is the second largest art museum in Georgia and houses the largest permanent exhibition space for Western art in the country. Sagebrush Ranch is an interactive gallery where children of all ages can learn about art and Western America. The museum's special and temporary exhibit galleries host three to five temporary exhibits per year. The Booth Western Art Museum is a great place to take the family to learn about America’s story.
