On Hollywood Boulevard you will find a tribute to over 2000 artists who have made significant contributions to film, radio, television, theatre and the recording industries. Bronze star-plaques, embedded in pink and charcoal terrazzo squares on the world's most famous sidewalk: the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Celebrities are added frequently, so give the Chamber of Commerce a call to see if you can catch one of the actual ceremonies and witness a star becoming immortal. There are numerous Walk of Fame ceremonies throughout the year. Dates of these ceremonies are subject to change and are usually announced only one week before the star ceremony. The stars on the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame are located on both sides of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. The Most Famous Theatre in the World
The most famous theatre in the world, TCL Chinese Theatre was built in 1927 and is a true Hollywood landmark known for its large screen and state-of-the-art sound system. It is filled with exotic art from China and the jade-green bronze roof rises 90 feet into the air. Whether you plan to see a movie here or not, if you're going to make the pilgrimage to Hollywood, the TCL Chinese Theatre is an impressive must-see! The courtyard is famous for the hand and footprints of Hollywood celebrities, dating from 1927 through the present. Besides the various famous hand and footprints outside the theater and the oddballs dressed up as Batman and Stormtroopers, the inside of this working theater is worth seeing.
